What size garden is this mower suitable for?

This mower is rated for gardens up to 300m². That's a small to medium-sized lawn. If your garden is larger than this, you'd need to look at a higher-capacity model in the Landroid range. For gardens significantly under 300m² it will cope easily and may complete its cycle faster than the maximum scheduled time.

Does it need a perimeter wire and how difficult is installation?

Yes, a boundary wire is required to define the mowing area. The good news is that no guide wire is needed in narrow passages the AIA technology handles those sections autonomously. Installation does take time. You'll need to peg the 100m of included cable around the perimeter of your lawn. Reviewers note it can take a few hours to get right, but once done it rarely needs changing. The kit includes 130 jumpers and 2 peripheral cable connectors to help with the setup.

How does the app work and what can I control remotely?

The mower connects to your home Wi-Fi and pairs with the Worx Landroid app on your phone or tablet. Through the app you can set mowing schedules (specific days and times), start or stop the mower remotely, check its status and receive automatic software updates. Voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant is also possible, though the voice control accessories are sold separately.

What is the cutting height range?

The cutting height is adjustable across 3 positions between 20mm and 50mm. This gives you some flexibility depending on the season and how short you prefer your lawn. For most UK lawns a mid-range setting of around 30 - 40mm is typical. The adjustment is made manually on the mower itself rather than through the app.

Can it handle slopes and uneven ground?

Yes. The mower is rated for slopes up to 27%. To put that in context, a 27% gradient is roughly a 15-degree incline a noticeable slope but not a steep bank. If your garden has gentle hills or uneven sections it should manage fine. Very steep or terraced gardens may cause it to struggle or stall, so it's worth measuring your steepest gradient before purchasing.

The mower automatically returns to its charging station when the battery is low and resumes mowing once recharged. This means it works in cycles throughout the day rather than one continuous session.

Is the mower secure if left outside?

The mower has PIN code anti-theft protection. If it's picked up and moved away from your garden, it cannot be operated without the correct PIN. This won't prevent physical theft, but it does make the mower significantly less useful to a thief and may act as a deterrent. For additional protection, many users purchase a dedicated robot mower garage or shelter to keep it covered and less visible when not in use.
