Mammotion LUBA Mini AWD 1500 (White, NetRTK+Vision)

Robot Lawn Mower

From: Mammotion

The Mammotion LUBA mini AWD is a fully autonomous robot lawn mower built for gardens up to 1,500m². It needs no boundary wire. Instead it uses RTK satellite navigation combined with UltraSense AI Vision to automatically map your garden and create virtual boundaries detecting the difference between grass and non-grass surfaces with precision.

It tackles slopes up to 80% gradient (38°) and crosses obstacles or potholes up to 80mm high thanks to its Adaptive Suspension System and all-wheel drive. The 88W blade motor with omni-wheel zero-turn design delivers up to 324m²/h mowing rate even in wet conditions.

Manage up to 15 separate mowing zones. The 6.1Ah lithium battery gives 180 minutes of continuous run time covering 250m² per charge. At just 60dB it runs quietly day or night. IPX6 waterproofing and rain detection are built in as standard.

Product Features

Adaptive Suspension & AWD - The all-wheel drive system combined with the Adaptive Suspension allows the mower to cross obstacles and potholes up to 80mm high. It handles slopes up to 38° (80% gradient) and manages rough terrain, thick grass and uneven ground without getting stuck. That's genuinely useful in a typical British garden. RTK + AI Vision Navigation - Rather than burying a boundary wire, this mower uses RTK satellite positioning alongside UltraSense AI Vision. It automatically maps up to 1,500m² and identifies grass versus non-grass surfaces. It even continues mowing up to 300 metres in areas with no satellite signal under trees or along narrow paths. Zero-Distance Edge Cutting - The ride-on zero-distance edge cutting system gets within 5cm of walls and borders. Most robot mowers leave a wide uncut strip. This design uses omni-wheels and a zero-turn system to cut right to the edge reducing the need for manual trimming significantly.
AI Obstacle Detection - The onboard AI vision system identifies moving obstacles including children and animals and stops or reroutes accordingly. This is a meaningful safety feature for families. It distinguishes between objects that are obstacles to avoid and those that are not reducing the risk of accidents during unsupervised operation. Multi-Zone Management - Up to 15 separate mowing zones can be set and managed through the app. Front garden, back garden, roadside verges, areas around pools or flower beds each zone gets its own schedule and path. Patented algorithms optimise the route in each zone and produce straight lawn stripes as a result. Security & Connectivity - Built-in GPS tracking, geo-fence alarm, owner authentication and AirTag compatibility make theft far less likely. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity (with one month free data) keep the mower connected at all times. FOTA updates mean the software improves over time without any manual intervention needed.

FAQs

Does the LUBA mini AWD 1500 need a boundary wire installed around the garden?

No. This is one of its key advantages over older robot mowers. It uses a combination of RTK satellite navigation and UltraSense AI Vision to detect and map boundaries automatically. The system identifies the transition between grass and non-grass surfaces so it recognises paths, flower beds and patios without any wire being buried. Setup is done through the app and the mower creates a virtual map of your garden on its own.

What size garden is this mower suitable for?

The LUBA mini AWD 1500 is rated for gardens up to 1,500m². On a single charge the 6.1Ah lithium battery covers approximately 250m². The mower automatically returns to its charging station when the battery runs low and then resumes mowing from where it stopped. For context, the smaller LUBA mini AWD 800 covers up to 800m² per charge cycle, while the larger LUBA 2 AWD models handle up to 3,000m² and 5,000m² respectively.

How steep a slope can it handle?

It handles slopes up to 80% gradient which equals 38°. That is significantly steeper than most robot mowers on the market. The all-wheel drive system and Adaptive Suspension System work together to maintain traction and stability on uneven ground. It also crosses potholes and obstacles up to 80mm in height without getting stuck. This makes it genuinely practical for gardens with banks, humps or rough patches.

How does the AI obstacle detection work and is it safe around children and pets?

The onboard AI vision system processes images in real time and identifies objects in the mower's path. It distinguishes between obstacles that need to be avoided such as children or animals and objects that do not require a route change. When it detects a person or pet it stops or navigates around them. This is a meaningful safety layer for families. That said, as with any powered garden machinery, supervision is always advisable when children or animals are present.

Can it mow under trees or in areas with poor satellite signal?

Yes. The UltraSense AI Vision system allows the mower to continue operating for up to 300 metres in areas where satellite signals are weak or unavailable such as under dense tree canopies or along narrow shaded paths. This is a practical solution for gardens where GPS signal is inconsistent, which is a common issue with satellite-only robot mowers.

How close to walls and borders does it cut?

The zero-distance edge cutting system cuts to within less than 5cm of walls, fences and borders. This is achieved through the omni-wheel zero-turn design which allows the mower to position itself precisely along edges. Most conventional robot mowers leave a wider uncut strip requiring manual trimming afterwards. This design significantly reduces that extra work.

What security features does it have to prevent theft?

The mower includes GPS tracking, a geo-fence alarm that triggers if the mower is moved outside a set boundary, owner authentication to prevent unauthorised use and AirTag compatibility for additional tracking. Connectivity via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G means you receive app notifications if anything unusual happens. The combination of these features makes it a well-protected piece of kit. The 4G service includes one month of free data as standard.

Is it waterproof and can it mow in the rain?

It carries an IPX6 waterproof rating which means it is protected against powerful water jets from any direction. It also has built-in rain detection. The 88W blade motor and omni-wheel system are designed to maintain mowing performance even in consistently wet conditions relevant in the UK where wet lawns are a regular occurrence. The IPX6 rating means light to moderate rain will not damage or stop the mower from operating.
