Do I really need to install boundary wires with the Worx Landroid Vision M800?

No. This is the key difference between the Vision and most other robot mowers on the market. Traditional models require you to lay a physical perimeter wire around your lawn, which can take hours and causes ongoing issues if the wire breaks or crosses paving slabs. The Vision uses a full HD camera and a trained neural network to detect grass, obstacles and boundaries on its own. You simply place it on the lawn and press the button. No digging, no wire, no setup headaches.

What lawn size is the Vision M800 suitable for?

The WR208E model is rated for lawns up to 800m². It has a 19cm cutting width and covers ground using an adaptive auto-schedule that adjusts mowing frequency based on grass growth. If your lawn is significantly larger than 800m² you would need to look at a higher-capacity model in the Landroid Vision range.

How does the obstacle avoidance actually work?

The mower uses a combination of a full HD camera and an onboard neural network that has been trained to identify different objects. It can distinguish between grass, hard surfaces, garden furniture, people and animals. When it detects an obstacle it steers around it rather than stopping or reversing. The AI also detects nocturnal animals when the optional LED headlight is in use during night mowing. This is a significant step beyond basic bump-sensor systems used in cheaper models.

How long does the battery last and how long does it take to charge?

The 4.0Ah PowerShare battery lasts approximately 2 hours per charge based on user experience. The charging current is 3A. The mower returns to its base station automatically when the battery runs low. Battery life will vary depending on grass thickness and terrain. The PowerShare battery is also compatible with other Worx garden tools and power tools, so it can be used across your existing Worx kit.

Can the mower handle multiple separate lawn areas?

Yes. The Vision supports multi-zone management using RFID tags. You place the tags in specific locations and the mower learns which areas it should stay within. It will remain in the designated zone until you instruct it to move to another. This is particularly useful for gardens where a path, driveway or flowerbed separates two sections of lawn.

How close to the edge will it cut?

The cut-to-edge function is included. At the time of writing the minimum edge gap settable in the app is 5cm. This was originally 10cm when the mower first launched and was reduced to 5cm through an Over-the-Air firmware update. Further updates are expected to reduce this gap further. For now, a quick pass with a strimmer along the border will tidy up any remaining strip. The OTA update system means this will likely improve without you needing to do anything.

Is the mower waterproof? Can it mow in the rain?

The Vision M800 carries an IPX5 water resistance rating. IPX5 means it can withstand water jets from any direction, which in practical terms means it can operate in rain and wet conditions without damage. It is not designed for submersion. Most robot mowers with IPX5 ratings are considered suitable for year-round outdoor use in typical UK weather conditions.

Does this mower require age verification to purchase?

Yes. Because the mower contains bladed items it is classified as a bladed product under UK law. It is not for sale to anyone under 18. When purchasing you will need to complete an online age verification process and provide photographic ID upon delivery. This is a legal requirement and applies regardless of where you purchase the product.
