How do you set up the boundary wire?

You lay the boundary wire around the perimeter of your lawn and secure it using the pegs provided in the box. The wire defines the area the mower will work within. Once the wire is down, you position the charging station and connect everything to the app on your smartphone. The setup process is designed to be done yourself without professional installation. The mower will not cross the boundary wire, so it's important to lay it accurately around any flower beds, ponds or areas you want to exclude.

What size lawn can this mower handle?

The mower is rated for lawns up to 1500m². It works at a rate of 100m² per hour and has a 120-minute battery life per charge. That gives it a working capacity of roughly 200m² per charge cycle. For larger lawns up to the 1500m² maximum, the mower will return to its charging station, recharge (which takes approximately 180 minutes) and then continue mowing automatically. You do not need to manage this process manually.

Can it cope with a sloped garden?

Yes. This mower is rated to handle slopes of up to 25% gradient (14°). It achieves this through a combination of larger wheels and a lighter body design the unit weighs 9kg. Many standard robot mowers are only rated to around 15% slopes, so this model is better suited to gardens with banks or uneven terrain. That said, if your slope exceeds 25%, the mower may struggle to maintain traction and consistent cutting.

How loud is it during operation?

The mower operates at 60dB. To put that in context, a normal face-to-face conversation is around 65dB and a petrol lawnmower typically produces 90 - 95dB. At 60dB you will hear it running but it will not disrupt conversation or disturb neighbours in the way a conventional mower would. This makes it practical to schedule mowing during early mornings or evenings when you'd rather not cause noise disturbance.

Can it be used in the rain?

Yes. The mower has a machine seal design that protects its internal components from water ingress. It can be used during rainy days without risk of damage to the motor or electronics. It also has a rain detection sensor, which means it can be configured to respond to wet conditions automatically. The waterproof design also makes cleaning straightforward you can lift the lid and wash the unit down with a hosepipe rather than having to wipe it carefully by hand.

How does the obstacle detection work?

The mower has built-in sensors that detect when it encounters an obstacle. When triggered, two things happen: the mower changes direction to navigate around the obstacle and the blades automatically stop spinning. This blade-stop feature is particularly important for safety. If a pet or child moves into the mower's path, the blades will cut out on contact rather than continuing to spin. The mower then resumes once it has moved clear of the obstacle.

What are the cutting height options?

The cutting height is adjustable between 20mm at the lowest setting and 55cm at the highest. This gives a reasonable range for most domestic lawns. A lower cut of around 20 - 30mm suits fine ornamental lawns while a higher setting of 40 - 55mm is better for hardwearing family lawns or during dry spells when cutting too short can stress the grass. The three rotary blades deliver a cutting width of 19cm per pass.
