Does the Segway Navimow i105E really work without boundary wires?

Yes. Unlike traditional robot mowers that require a physical wire buried or pegged around the lawn perimeter, the i105E uses EFLS 2.0 RTK+Vision technology to define and maintain virtual boundaries set through the smartphone app. You walk the boundary once during setup and the AI Assist Mapping function handles the rest. There is no wire to install, damage or replace.

What size lawn is this mower suitable for?

The recommended mowing area is 500m² with a maximum capability of 600m². The battery covers approximately 250m² per charge, so the mower will return to its charging base and resume automatically on larger lawns. For a 500m² lawn one owner noted the mower returned to charge around three times per full mow cycle.

How does the AI mapping work in practice?

During initial setup you walk the perimeter of your lawn with the app open. The AI Assist Mapping detects the free edges of the lawn as you go and automatically navigates and maps the full work area. This removes the need to manually mark every boundary point. Multiple zones can be set and adjusted at any time directly from the app.

Can it handle slopes and uneven ground?

What connectivity does the mower support and what is Connect+?

The i105E supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Cellular connectivity. The cellular connection is provided through the Connect+ plan which is included free for the first year. This allows remote control and monitoring of the mower even when you are away from home and outside Wi-Fi range. After the first year a Connect+ subscription would be required to maintain cellular functionality.

The cutting width is 18cm using a single disc with five blades. Cutting height is adjustable manually between 2cm and 6cm. The mower cuts in varying directions across sessions which, as noted by owners, produces an even, consistent lawn appearance over time. Edge cutting is not a feature of this model the mower leaves approximately 10 - 15cm uncut at boundaries, so a strimmer or edging tool will be needed for perimeter finishing.
